Quick question,
The other day when I was taking my car over for it's MOT I noticed that the fuel gauge was stuck at reading empty. When I came back from the MOT I removed the fuel sender unit and I found that the little green wire which connects onto the little cylinder thing just above the filter had snapped off. The float arm moves freely as well but i'm not sure if anything could be damaged within the housing of the float arm.
Does anyone know what the little cylinder part of the fuel sender does just above the float?
I know i'm probably going to need to buy a new sender housing etc but just wondered if anyone had any ideas before hand incase it was a quick fix.
