There has been aslight hold up in the design as we haven't had time to chase things up and organise new suppliers for parts.

When we manage to sort out more details on them we will update the thread.

Sorry for the delay but these things can't be rushed.

yeah nick ive tested different core sizes at work (mocal) and found 13 row ideal for front mount, and 16row if top mounted (under bonnet vent) 19 row is overkill on a road car. (unless its a big block chevy/v8 etc)

dan :)

Hey Dan

Yeah we have tested 19row, 16row and 10row coolers, we found the 19row and 16row to big for road use and the 10row works well on the road but found that it doesn't cool enough for track use.

We run a 19row on ours but we use ours mainly for track use so its suited very well

Out of interest Nick, what are your sustained oil temperatures out on track?
Depending on the track looking around 80-90 Degree's mate, Yesterday we were running around 80 degree's but at a track like silverstone or castle combe we run around 85-90 degree's.

The Cooler we run is a tad large for the starlet really, a 16row would suit better, are you looking for a good sized core for the track car?

Yeah I was observing my temperatures and was seeing around 120c (Taken from filter housing with 5w40) so a cooler may be wise for the track car. Performance felt good and vaccum at 7~8,000RPM overrun must have been sucking the thin oil through.

I wouldn't need something too large, probs a 10 row with a thermostat sandwich plate.

Do you do any sump plugs that allow oil temp sender? I think the starlet shares a few sizes here and there!

Hi Luke, yeah i would never want to go to 120degree's oil temperature, thats far to close to sure engine failure, a 10row cooler should help you hold around 90-100degrees mate once on track, but the thermostat will help for road use.

As for the sump plug, its hard to have a oil temp sensor in the sump plug on starlets due to the 14mm head being so small.

so no oil filter relocation without oil cooler?
Coming very soon mate... :)

few months??dam am gona want 1 pritty soon
I understand that but we are not willing to rush these kits for a quick launch, we want the product to be 100% right and we have to take our time designing them, sorry for the delay though but it will all be worth it in the end when the finished product is top quality.
