Glanza Engine Exploded?

new engine required?

got my car to the garage today after the explosion i got yesterday.
the mechanic had a look at it and said it looks terminal (his exact words).
He didnt really give me much information on the cause or what is needing replaced. he said that the bottom end has blown? im just wondering if i can get the parts and not have to get a complete new engine. would i better taking it to a performance car specialist?

Ask him for a detailed description of his diagnosis.

If it's just the crank which has worn, you might get away with a regrind and oversized bearings.

no way can anyone on here answer this mate the engine has blown anything could be gone!
if it was me id bring it to one of the specialists on here.they will find the problem and give you all your options on what you could do.and if it came down to a new bottom end or something they,d be the right people to do the job

got it at jb autos mate. but think im gona get it down to checkpoint best gettin a specialist to look at it. really need some1 that knows. defo want it sorted.

Ditto, but from what he was explaining in the other thread it sounds like a rod went through the block... so its kinda difficult to understand..

aye bought it private sale of a guy from dundee. i had the car checked over and it was fine on the test drive. had all history. just bad luck i guess. realy like the car so im gona get it sorted know matter what.
