Glanza V Insurance gone MAD?

you have to remember that with alot of the mainstream insurance companies, they limit the amount of mods per policy to around 5-10 max. any more than that and they refuse to insure you so you have to go with a specialist insurer, or lie about your mods.

thats the problem i have with my hybrid GT anyway :(

Bell

Main driver + 1 - 3 mods declared - £150 excess = 954
Main driver +1 - no mods - £150 excess = £770

Aviva
Main driver - no mods - £150 excess and extra £200 excess as im under 25 = £1270
Main driver + 1 - no mods - £150 excess and extra £200 excess as im under 25 = £557.99
Main driver + 1 - no mods - £350 excess and extra £200 excess as im under 25 = £460.99

Im paying over £3000 a year on my GT...joys of being 18 without any no claims! though i will be pretty pissed if im still paying close to a grand when im 28.

That's rediculus, I'm 18, 0 years ncb, and live in Essex and only pay £1700 on a gt. Insurance is absolute bollox. On of my mates is 19, had 3 crashes (2 his fault) and 3 points and only pays £1900 on a 200sx s13

i'm 28 and i'm paying £30 per year more for a 1999 glanza listed as standard with full cat 1 alarm parked in a good area.

over my 400bhp 1996 mr2 turbo, highly modified

go figure

Tim :(

thats why im asking the question. could just be the way its written

but in all seriousness, the ammount of people insurance fronting and think its legal is huge, i dont really see the point apart from cheaper insurance, in most cases you dont build up any no claims (and if you do your no claims is only valid with the same company if your earning it as a named driver) so in the future the insurance will be just as high as he would have no NCB. amazes me how so many people cant afford the insurance on the glanza or gt and try and fiddle it. not saying this bloke is at all, but happens alot! either gets insured as a 1.3 N/A or insurance fronting, both is insurance fraud

so in the future the insurance will be just as high as he would have no NCB.

Not really, if you're 20 with no claims, and 30 with no claims, it'll be cheaper to insure the 30 year old even if both have 0 experience.

I'm paying about £80 a month and i'm nearly 28, and approaching 7 years NCD with 1 claim. Bit shit really

I read that insurance has went up by 40% and set to raise another 20% due to the amount of non-insured drivers and "no win no fee" agencies.
