ive never payed a deposit on a car!!!!

there are different ways to go about getting 200bhp. you can keep costs down by getting second hand bits.

generally the more you spend the better the car will drive and perform across the whole rev range. you can get 170-180 bhp relatively cheaply.

When I was on the mr2 forum, it was awful the amount of mr2's that were being destroyed because of the old car scrappage scheme. I even got a letter through the post offering deals on a new fiesta/focus if i scrapped my mr2 (this was before the incident). Blasphemy! Hope it did'nt affect too many of the gt's.

Dare say I'll look into that mate!

mine was going as she was in a sorry state when imported over and the guy that bought her hated her so i bought her cheap but nothin worked and she was missing all the badges so shes made sure ive spent alot on her lol

is a shame. some do get unloved. i saved my latest one before it began to get too bad. its pretty decent now tbh.

dont think many got traded in with the scrappage scheme as people who own them are generally enthusiasts or chavs with no money.

Always nice to know that you've done all the work yourself Partly why I bought a standard car.

Anyways I'm off for the night, got to be up in 6 hours ahh! 10 mins til petrol goes up 2p a litre .... glad I filled up earlier lol .

there is another mk1, same colour as mine in ipswich ive just found out so i am crying right now

Wow can't wait to see them! How are you going to manage that?? ...Toe rope lol? I'd never let anyone drive my car! ...But i made the mistake of telling my gf that shes a named driver on the policy! Made it cheaper, but her arse will NEVER touch the drivers seat !!

i have to force my girlfriend to drive it. she can only drive the runabout though, she isnt insured on the hybrid one, plus she probably couldnt press the clutch pedal down.

she will drive one and ill drive the other if i took both to the japshow

Cheers I took a gamble on the colour, my photos are much better than the photos of when it was up for sale. Got it home and gave it a good wash followed by 2 coats of wax and now I really like it.

Not sure on the wheels though lol not very JDM! I was going to put the mr2 roadster wheels on, like abbott had, but was surprised that they don't fit :S. Stud pattern is the same but the centre of the roadster wheels are far too small.

I'm not doing very well at not spending on it though lol . I was going to be all sensible and just keep it how it is for now but that does't seemed to have happened!
