Gt adavance gearbox??? LSD question???

Thanks for the pic,

So i will have to get a shorter shaft to fit it to my car so??

as far as i know the advance cames with an lsd and it will fitt right in any gt or glanza with same shafts and mounts , as i have done it a few times myself ,
we get these engines from Japan and the box looks the same as the gt ones from outside , i just turn the driveshafts by hand and if the shafts turn both same way they it is an LSD , even the avance cars we have here are with lsd as jap inports ,

i am new to this site, my name is gaz and i hav a starlet gt turbo, 208bhp and i am in need ov a new gear box. i hav searched everywhere and can not find one anywhere, does anyone know wher i can get my hands on 1??
i was hoping 2 get me starlet 2 shakespear county somtime next month and woud b very gratefull if anyone cud giv me a hand oin finding 1.

where can i buy the drive shaft for such a gear box?

or can u jus fabricate the regular shaft to fit?

you just have to keep your eye out mate for people selling them 2nd hand.

I was lucky, my mate obtained a non LSD mount and driveshaft and let me have it for when i didtch my LSD box for a 6 speed

Downside means i will have to fork out £££ for an aftermarket LSD. Altho i havent checked maybe whether the LSD parts from the C52 can be changed onto a 6 speed.

Did someone say the LSD box is a C53 on vin? Well mine is an EP82, with factory LSD and the vin says its a C52 not C53. So either the LSD box is still a C52 or some lipple nip in japan changed it all.

Did someone say the LSD box is a C53 on vin? Well mine is an EP82, with factory LSD and the vin says its a C52 not C53. So either the LSD box is still a C52 or some lipple nip in japan changed it all.

One of the pitfalls of buying a used car. The FACTORY data states that cars with a LSD fitted FROM FACTORY have different chassis codes.

i think if you jack the car up and turn one of the front wheels the other wheel should turn aswell if an lsd is present.
