ah nasty stuff man. why do all the good cars get crashed??

I'll take that as a compliment. Cheers.

Just unlucky i guess.

I've been out this weekend giving the car a closer inspection. Bent the bonnet back into shape as much as possible. Had to take a hammer to the bonnet catch in order for it to close properly.
Front bumper and grill is held together with cable ties for now.
Need to get a new headlight on passenger side.
The top bar that the rad and headlights attach to is bowed a little aswell.
Doesnt look as bad now i have had a fiddle. Recon the bonnet will be salvagable in the hands of a pro. Not so sure about the bumer though.
Luckily there is no damage to the engine itself. Aircon unit and bonnet catch took the brunt of the force.

Wouldnt be anywhere near as bad if i had hit another car. Would have just been a shunt. Trucks with towbars = bad.

Gutted for you mate, nearly done the same a few times, hate it when people do that! :flame:

Doesnt sound too bad though and as said aslong as your OK!

I would think of it as an oppurtunity now to modify it.

Carbon bonnet maybe, 98 spec front or JAM etc end with FMIC etc ;)

i love the word common sense only a fool would use it no offense but heres the justification to my post and if i offended anyone i'd suggest reading the internet bullying thread and maybe posting in there to let others no of you emmotionall distress.

i thought u guys was against bad driving ect ect in my opioion if a accident is your fault you were doing something wrong or incorrect and that would state a bad driver so ur promoting bad driving ? cuz advertising on here is kind of a bad thing as your just advertising that tgtt forums memeber on this occasion but throughout history memebers are causing accidents

what in gods name are you talking about?!!! Im pretty sure people dont come on here see these threads and think the drivers of TGTT cannot drive...wtf...get a grip dude.

and if you read Nippons post properly you would probablt think too yourself "well that nearly happenend me before" because if you dont think that well your just plain lying. How many times has someone gone too go and then suddenly changed there minds, happens me all the time and ya I have nearly gone into the back of people, all it takes is a momentary loss of concentration. Happens too us all, just happenend to poor Nippon here at wrong time. Humans are not robots, they make mistakes, I would not call this bad driving too be fair.

All mature driver know that if you take your time drive sensibly and are in no rush to get where you need to go there should be no reason for a accident caused by ones self.

Your totaly right people do suddenly stop at round about but a missconception is is your to close your to fu8king close why rush out at a round about for ??

Couldnt agree more GT_Irl, mistakes happen to the best of us and I know it has happened to me a few times aswell. As you say its a split second decision and if you take your mind off the road then accidents happen.

Basketash, what are you going on about mate? Do you not think that other car forums have the exact same threads. People crash their cars all the time it just happens. And if a member of the site would like to share this information with the rest of us then thats his decision.
My advice to you would be if you dont have anything productive to say then say nothing at all.
I would understand your comments if Nippon said he was speeding down the road and crashed into a tree, but an accident is exactly what it is an accident.

Dont agree with you at all. I was driving home last night heard a massive bang and a merc came swerving across the road in to my lane and managed to barely miss me. His tire had blown out.

Accidents happen... if they didnt then we wouldnt be required to have insurance.
