When that happens I accidentally break it another way :D

I have a fair few halfords stuff, always seems to do the job for what I need it for.

same here, its a case of knowing what youre buying I think, Its never gonna be a snap on tool, but tbh It did almost everything I needed it to on the starlet, and required me to buy very little extra bits to do most jobs. I suppose it depends on how far you take it on your car, I changed a clutch and manifold and turbo on the starbus with little more than a halfords jack and 150 piece tool set. but then thats as far as my mech knowledge goes

Nearly all my tools are from halfords i find it handy when you need something and its after 5 when most places have closed, and with the trade card theres some bargains to be had. ive had the 150pc set for about 3 years now and ive used them for all sorts and the only thing ive ever broke from them is 2 of the screw driver pieces as there known for not been too good but its not a problem.

im a mechanical engineer use tools everyday and from the experience i gained i think halford tools are shite they can last a long time or not and when they break they will try any excuse to avoid giving you a replacement if i were you i'd spend some extra money and get Teng tools they are they best make i've came across and i think you get a lifetime warranty on them as well

I sold all my teng and snap on bits a few years ago and just got that halfords set to do odd jobs with and its lasted just as well as any of the other gear. Ive broken a couple of bits and a spanner but they replaced it without even requesting to see the reciept. Cant fault it.

I'm a mechanic and use snap on stuff and britool all day but tbh as a diy kit the baldness will be fine used it at stavros on his build and it did the job sometimes with snap on you pay for the name and I'm sure the baldness kits are built by wurth a German firm as sometimes the spammers are branded zebra wurth so don't discount them as there good sets for the cash.

ive just bought the 150 bit set seems to be quality. had halfords stuff before and its all been good.

the trade card doesnt work on sale items which is a bit shit. but for the prices there letting things go for in the sale cant really go wrong i dont think.
any trade can get the card, dont have to be a mechanic :) im a sparky and got one no questions asked :)

I've got a halfords kit and annoyingly there's still a few bits which i need that aren't included in the set, still it's a great bit of kit and not let me down yet.
