MY worry is about the camber I dont have top mounts on my coilovers does that mean I cant change it???
if they are non-adjustable top mounts then no you can't, well not easily anyway... you could source some adjustable top mounts to suit and fit those.

Pic of the coilovers?

elaine,

everyone is talking about your wheel alignment and things like that however just because a tyre is wore on outsides doesnt mean that ive seen many cases at my work where the tracking is fine but they`ve worn tyres.

however may still be alignment like sated!

what pressures do you run them at?

reason being to little pressure and you`l wear both sides of the shoulder, too high a pressure then you`l wear the middle part or the tyre.

Elkaine your coilovers should have adjustable top mounts.

Its your camber and tracking thats wrong, it needs setting up. I got mine done other day, makes a big difference.

When i first had my GT i had Toyo T1-S tyres, and it killed them in about 4k miles!

Then after it was T1R time (well after some kumho on the 16's) and they lasted longer, cant remember how long though. However on track they would marble a hell of a lot!

Fast forward to the coilovers, allignment and camber done, and there were hardly any marbles! Makes sooo much difference. My tyres hardly seem to be wearing at all compared to they used to, and i corner HARD virtually ebverywhere i go! lol.

E, the front n/s (front left) always takes the most abuse due to roundabouts :p. I run 32psi in my 195/50R15 T1R. If i recall you have 195/50R15 toyo PX4 so these should last longer theh the T1R....

Might be worth checking yuo dont have any dodgy bushes too, and are the top mounts ok? Not worn out?

elaine id check like everyone said your bushes alignement just to be on the safe side as it`l be less expensive in the long run and try and run your tyres at 32psi see if any difference happens.

just give your tyres a brief check over now and then and you should be able to see the tread pattern.. if your still suffereing from the edges then put more psi in then it`l wear the middle aswell just so you get alittle more moneys worth for your tyre.

Harv my coilovers don't come with adjustable top mounts!!!

THe PX4 have lasted slightly longer but were only talking week. I will get loaders to fit my new tyres and sort out all the tracking ect but itf it comes down the the camber being off I am screwed as I dont have any Top Mounts... If I have to add new coilovers to my list I think I would get very cross!!!

no they shouldnt.

ha's hr's and other early tein coilovers never had camber plates, you had to buy them seperately ;)

same as with the trd ones.

i agree though that camber plates should be added for optimum adjustability but its not really necesary on a road car.
