Head job ****s

So I get an engine from a V auto that needs a bit of work, strip the box off it and cart it to the garage, start taking it apart only to find under the rocker cover that the cam cap bolts have been rounded, still I struggle on eventually managing to get them all out, remove the cams only to find that some of the head bolts have been attacked! the centre 2 and one either side seem to have no shape to insert a tool into!

Bollox how am I going to remove them now!

you wil have to drill the heads off them mate. or if you are really lucky you can possibly hammer an allen key in there?

hammer the next size up star bit in there see if that works, worked for me once, if not as duncan said drill the heads off the bolts

again, well done mate. its not a fun job when that happends
had this before myself a few times, due to people using an alen key to torque up or attempt to undo the bolts instead of using the proper 12 point key

depends what your plans are the for the engine. if your not going too mad then standard head bolts will be fine.
