this might sound stupid but the only thing i could think of was my actuator had been filled with oil! thus keeping the wastegat open but i can see by the arm possition that the waste gate is shut.

i had a similar problem, one of the fmic pipes was rubbing on the chassis leg and caused a hole in the pipe.

got a bit of chemi-metal and amended the pipe to sit away from the chassis leg and everythings all good now.

maybe worth checking for a hole in the pipe?

right guys i have checked all the hoses and found no leaks everything is tight! one thing i did do was take the dump valve off to see if i could feel the pressure coming out the pipe. i cant feel anything when revving the car but can when i obviuosly let go of the throttle i can feel the dump pressure. should i be able to feel an increase in pressure when revving the car or does it not creat enough boost whilst stationary?

yeah it still creates boost even when stationary mate..have you never looked at ure boost gauge? if everything is dfinatly tight then its got to be a problem with the wastegate you say there was a crack in it yes?

thx neal....

yeh a slight crack in it! well it must be the turbo then as its not creating pressure when stationairy! will have to get another and try it out!

i'd say your actuator arm is too long, and the wastegate is always open. take the actuator arm off of the wastegate flap and make sure its all the way back, for standard boost u want to have to just tug the actuator arm out a bit to be able to get it on the wastegate arm when its in the closed position. thats all it can be.
