take it off its for pussys. bypass it your engine will be fine :)

+ low boost uses more fuel as the engine has to struggle...

:) high boost everywhere :) and anywhere :)

Hi boost as far as i remember runs at 0.8 bar and low boost either 0.6 or 0.4 bar of boost.

On the ep91 in 1st and 2nd gear the high boost is slightly restricted (correct me if im wrong guys) However alot of people bypass the selanoid on here to remove the restriction.

.

Hi boost runs 0.65 and 0.4 in low, Bypassing it lets the car run 0.65 in 1st and second gear as their restricted to 0.4 even in high boost. It shouldnt cause any harm although with this cold weather it could creep to fuel cut.

*EDIT* just read your from malta so you shouldnt have a problem with cold weather lol

Running it in low boost does not use more fuel :) Don't know where a few guys got that myth from.

It''s how you drive it, regardless of the boost that dictakes the fuel consumption.

On a EP82 its pointless but on a Ep91 as Paul said it removes the slight restriction in 1st and second gears.

how do you 'bypass' it then??.. just remove it?

The two pipes that cross each other when bypassed no longer cross each other if you get me? Il try and find a pic but its only a matter of swapping two pipes over, 2minute job
*EDIT* just saw daves post......

I certainly seen worse fuel consumption when using the low boost mode. Most likely because the engine will produce less torque for a given RPM in low boost mode than it will in high boost mode. With a lower torque output you'll tend to make more of a demand on the engine, especially when travelling up hill and finding yourself either opening the throttle up further or changing down a gear more often.

No risk at all that's how it pipes up, i would have thought they were under the bonnet anyway, if not a local motorfactors would do, a mechanic is a bit overkill watch he doesn't take you to the cleaners for a simple job.
