idle controle valve help

Hi my car was revin at like 200rpm and cuttin out and nt setin of properly so I took the idle controle valve of and cleaned it. Now the car woulnt start at all any ideas please

99% you forgot to put the earth under the idle control valve

doesnt matter if its under on on top.. as long as it earths fine. thats the only thing i could think of that it wont start if you touched the icv only! try turning the car on with the plug to the icv off

If you open the throttle when trying to start it will it start then?

If not I would say your problem is elsewhere, scan over where you were working to see if anything has been dislodged.

as ricky said.. do a diag test and see if it comes out with any codes.. would be easyer this way.
