well anyways... my idle rpm goes up to 1.8k when cold and once warm it stays around 1.2k. when i turn the lights on it goes down to 1.1k. i want it to set around 800-900 rpm with the lights on. the idle screw is already fully closed but i cant seem to get it any lower.. anybody knows what could be wrong with this? or is there anything else im forgetting to adjust?

your help is greatly appriciated guys...

thanks

I always adjust mine when it's warm, when the warm idling rate is about right, who cares about the rest?

1500RPM when cold sounds about right and 900 or so when warm.

if it still does not sort it ,it could be throttle postion sensor is not alligned porperly, fingers crossed the throttle cable works mate,id also clean idle control valve ,left hand side of inlet mani and also the auto choke ,which is attached underneath the throttle body ,were all the pipes are attached to,if ye need pics ,let me know

autochoke(coldstartvalve) ,is the one with the pipes ,you will need to separate from the throttle bodie ,it can sometimes get full with gunk and cause high idle ,you will need sealent if you split it from throttle body
