Think the australian market and a few european markets got the 2E when the EP90 was released. UK only got the 4E and I doubt the Japanese market would have touched the 2E lol.

That's an EP90 not an EP91. It's unlikely to be a European or Japanese import, could have come from an Asian or S African country or possibly from somewhere in between such as Cyprus.

The manual RHD 3 door came in either 4 or 5 speed flavors depending on the year:

DESTINATION: GEN: GENERAL COUNTRIES
ENGINE: 2E: 1300CC 12-VALVE

JT752EP90.. EP90R-AGKRS 01/1996 - 11/1997 EP90 GEN RHD 2E MTM 4F 3D

JT752EP90.. EP90R-AGMNS 12/1997 - 06/1999 EP90 GEN RHD 2E MTM 5F 3D

The EP91 and EP95 have the 4E engine, NP90 has the 1N diesel engine and the EP90 has the 12v 2E engine.

ah right cheers for the info texx so it's a ep90 5speed then cool lol, it's got a better spec than my mrs sportif such as electric windows, rev counter etc!! So what sort of power will the 2e engine be compared to a sportif?

Read the vin plate, it could be a 4EF engine, the very early Starlets had a 1.3 carb engine in them.
