Impreza STI BlobEye - Experience?

Impreza's are a good job. You won't be disappointed. I like the blobeyes and hawkeyes, though the 2-door GC8's aren't bad. starting to look a bit dated.

If you get one with a PPP kit then be aware that the only way to reflash it is with an Ecutek flash. Any other reflash won't work as they are reflashed & locked by Prodrive.

Shame your not closer to me I'm going to a meet on Sunday and there's 35 cars going, one of them would of took you for a spin in one.

The blobeyes are more refined on the inside, bit more sound deadning but other than that they're all same, the power delivery is smooth but pin you in your seat smooth:D

If you want something abit more raw get a v5 or v6 3dr type r, you'll have a blast with the diff lock, still fully loaded with all the newage features like climate control, electric folding mirrors etc etc

Regarding mapping with ppp its fine with ecutek as they can open it up and lock it again once there done its open source mappers who can't do it using american software but even they have found ways to unlock it.

One of the best mappers on scoobynet is jolly green monstor plus he comes to you;)

Is it definitely an Impreza you want? It is was me, I'd buy and evo 8 MR. Remap, fuel pump, induction kit, exhaust & conrod bolts. 400bhp, no problem.

You'll struggle to get that amount safely out of an Impreza with standard internals.

I'm going to try and avoid engine modifications this time around (learnt my lesson on the glanza :p). The evo's seem to be another 2-3k more than a similar spec impreza and i'd rather put that money into making the impreza a bit more unique :) or towards a house lol :p

Me and the gf have seen a house we want so i'm going to have to ditch the r34 plans and get something about half the price and save the rest for a deposit ... sucks lol :( but the sti seems the only car that ticks all the boxes...

^ :(

I've got to wait until i'm 25 to get one for insurance so I will start properly looking in 2-3months time.

That's what I'm doing with my impreza making it abit different, its all about low and wide, I'm de-spoilering mine and putting a e46 m3 lip spoiler on, slamming it, 18x18.5 rims, negative camber, sideskirts spats and front lip.

This is perfection to me
