no guess's here please.

Has any one actually used the corrola manifold (if thats what its called) on the 4efte? everyone always says they think when things like this are asked.

i jetwashed my manifold yesterday, and when drying it, (thanks for the hairdryer mum) with the hairdryer in place of the throttle body, absolutely no air came out of the first runner.

now if i used the corrola manifold, i should, get air out of all 4 evenly.

surely you'd get more power from an engine with the corrola manifold?

in theory that manifold will give more lag too as its increasing the distance from turbo outlet to engine inlet.

Dave do you know at what point the stock inlet becomes restrictive?

We ran all the 4e data through an extremely expensive piece of tuning software. That recommended short straight runners for any gains ;)

i can confirm that! long equal length runners are NO GOOD on a turbo application :) as it will give u more low down torque but hinder things top end wise ;)

i'm sure some one else also came to this conclusion, this inlet mani works by giving more torque, but strangles the engine so there is not much horse power gain

was a thread from that bayan chameleon site? well the jamaicans neway that ran a few tests i remember

yea i remmeber that, he did something to it though to make it better, this it was extending the container after the throttle bodie so there a bigger chamber before the runners start

5efhe intake mani all the way
best of both worlds, long slender runners for low down torque then changing over to short fat ones for top end flow
GO ACIS!! :)

apparently the emanage ultimate can controle that inlet if your intrested in it. i think starletrick is running that inlet?

i am running that inlet, and its taken me a while, but ive got it working perfectly.

the short runners open at 5 psi.

i am pretty comfortable getting mine to work but i would like to consider other options and see how other persons have done it, as my idea will have it actuated based on an rpm as opposed to a boost level. putting our 4e 5e/caribbean uk dyno argument aside i'll send you a pm. share the knowledge
