If they cant insure them - dont buy them. Simple as that! Putting them as a 1.3 is not insuring them...

x2! And imo your driving life should start with something a bit slower so you get some experience before getting into a 'fast' car!

your only going by a legal document.ie:TAX BOOK.. on most gt/glanza's over here are all 1.3 on the book(non turbo)..so wat happens if your a num nut an have no idea about cars wat so ever (engines etc).., and come across a nice wee car, (glanza)! you check out the tax book see wat engines in it! an insure it as it says.. wat happens there??

If you have no idea about cars, you should take some one with you that does when going to view it! That way you wont miss something so obvious ;) Even if its 1.3 on the log book, your insurance is still void if its a turbo model.

Very true your just paying for a useless piece of paper your better off not insuring the car at all if your going to insure it with the wrong details as it is insurance faurd!

but when you ring or try and get it insured the insure company will/should ask you what model it is ie.,if its a glanza a V or S.then the value of it.ie., a 1997 glanza,i cant see how a non turbo would be worth a few thousand :haha:

You find a gt/glanza for sale 9 times out of ten your going to be told its a turbo, most of those sales it says 1.3 turbo but a 1.3 on the log book cheap insurance, we've all seen them, and if after that you insure it as a 1.3 non turbo glanza your only kidding yourself and a liabilty to other road user's.
