is brimming your fuel tank safe?

just had a random thought: is brimming your fuel tank unsafe..? after reading a little about the charcoal canister and the general fuel vapor system, and knowing that the fuel inlet is at about the same height as the charcoal canister, i was wondering if any harm can come to the system if the tank is brimmed.. is there a possibility of getting fuel into the fuel vent line that goes to the c/canister..?

well, guys.. i know most of you are/have been doing it for a while, but the reason i threw this out to you is to think around if there is any injury to the system overall.. especially in regard to having fuel make it back to your charcoal canister..

same way wearing your shoes left to right still works but it will eventually make your toes look funny.. lol
