hi there been searching but carnt find anything on this, is it safe to run 1 bar on a standard intercooler???? until i get a fmic nxt month

It isn't unsafe, but you car will most probably loose performance.

The standard intercooler just cannot handle that sort of heat dissipation.

I personally wouldn't. If intake temps are too high it will promote detonation which is bad. Just relax until the FMIC arrives mate.

as above trying to push that much air through what it more like an interheater than an intercooler will increase combustion temps and depending on ignition timing and other variables can cause detonation which will bring an early end to your engine.

remeber what country he lives in. if he is only wating a month and doesnt have a lead foot then it will be fine with it being as cold as it is.
