Knock Sensor Issue

One of my mates is having some issues with a knock sensor fault on his GT....getting code 52.

Copied from another Forum:

"Re wired my knock sensor have full continuity have put in a brand new knock sensor and still get code 52 , resetting the ecu now (jam ecu) to see if that clears the code but if not what then , ecu fucked ? "

"Right so turn my car over all sound , rev over 2k and the engine management light comes on code 52 knock sensor ,

drive it and it feels sluggish under full throttle however 10% throttle revs brilliantly all the way round.

If I plant my foot in 2nd gear onwards after 5k revs the car jerks and misfires and loses power I've checked continuity and put in a brand new knock sensor all perfect now any suggestions?? "

cheers for that tim I can post again !! so yea re wired it once without shielded wire, realised my mistake and re done it.

NOW!, it used to happed at 2500 revs when I first wired it ,it worked and no EML came up then after soldering and heat shrink it came on again.

after having a little fiddle with timing the car now runs better but still over fuels and EML is still on.

If all else fails il be putting in a new loom but need some help

yea mate its exactly the same as yours half throttle is way more power than full throttle and full throttle my fuelling is way to much
