Thats fcked. lol worser than mines, i say a new engine, or forge if the block is ok. Mines only did it on higher revs and normal is quite as a kitten. lol

No idea mate, was driving it and it got a gentle tap to it, then it got louder and louder, kept cutting out every time i put the clutch in, and now it sounds like a tractor! I daren't drive it as i may brake it even more...

Forgive me if this is a stupid question, but on a punto GT engine there is an air flow meter so however much boost you run the engine evens the fuel, but on a starlet there is no air flow meter if i recall correctly so how does the engine know how much fuel to put in???

I did think possibly the pre-cat lambda sensor but then again it wouldn't be an accruate enough reading IMO.
