macs do start at £749 but he will get the 15% student discount on it and get a free 8gb ipod touch and a free printer. and a mac is for life 
coz it dont mess up also if you want to upgrade the hard drive later on in future its not that expensive because apple buy your old hard drive off you a they can sell this back on.
