Well, the 4.2L was based on a Ford engine built by Lola chief designer Eric Broadley and Aston Martins John Whyer.
The mk2 7L was again built by Lola.
I will admit though, the MK3 which wasn't raced did have a Ford engine, thats why no-one wanted them. lol
Ford just paid the racing bills just to get one over on Ferrari after Enzo Ferrari pulled out on a deal to sell the company to ford.
They sound bloody nice racing round the circuit in the morning who ever built them. I cant wait to go again, will be my 3rd time.
