leaking oil

Hi guys does anyone know how much it will be for a new sump as i would go to toyota but will probs cost a fortune wondering if anyone sells them on here. Just mine is leaking oil and my mum aint to happy when i park in her drive and it leaks on her monoblocks and i wont leave it on the street cos someone will hurt it lol.

Well, it probably just needs re sealing.

Can't see how it would be leaking directly from the sump unless something smashed through it?

Circa £50/60 I think from Toyota so not too bad actually.

Have you tried resealing it as it's usually the sealer that gives way first on them.

This might sound daft but how do u reseal it and what with it looks like its coming out from the sump plug. is it just a new washer to seal it?

Ah, if it's leaking from the bung are then it could be

1) bung/washer leaking (try a fresh bung and washer)
2) the sump has taken impact damage (new sump)
3) The thread is damaged from someone overtightening the bung (new sump, bug and washer)

Usually they just leak from the upper edge that connects to the block.
