Thanks for the comments guys, I dont think anyone is buying anything at the moment, with all the economic bollox etc, maybe when things pick up again people will start buying, until then i dont think theres much hope for any of us.

Hi mate,

Heres the only engine bay pic i have.. Quite an old pic, but minus the Earthing kit (which i still have) and the braided rad hose and everything else is the same.

A fine specimen there mate :)I could be interested too.

I'm just wondering about fuelling, you don't seem to of upped that along with your other mods. Is that because you only run stock boost? I see you've an electronic boost controller, so forgive my ignorance as i've no experience with them. On my last GT i just turned the boost down via the actuator to stop over-boosting and running lean etc...So does the boost controller eliminate risk of detonation/running lean etc...does it cut in before that can happen? i noticed you have an FCD you see, hence my query.

^^ i thought the same after reading it if im honest,it shouldnt be spiking to 1 bar with the above mods surely and if it's just a fcd then it's not the best way or has it been setup on a rr?

I'm glad I'm not the only one who was curious about this. Looking forward to hearing about it as its a peach of a car. But that level of modification I assumed it would have been set up on a dyno with air/fuelling re-mapped for the extra boost. So if you don't have an uprated ECU or Apexi power FC I guess a rrfpr and dyno tune could do a decent job using modest boost.

just wondering if this has been done already (as above user).

I am the first UK owner of this car and it has always had a FCD from when i bought it, I have not got involved with the fueling on the car, nore have i had it dyno'd il be honnest. But when I found out about the Jam FCD, i noticed the ECU looked to have been played with, and also had stickers on at one point (sounds silly), so at the time i thought possibly an aftermarket ECU was installed on the car but i cannot comfirm this nore did i mention it in my first post.

Liam - I dont understand what your saying, why shouldnt the car spike with the mods stated?

Ok buddy that's fine,it's a minter of a car and i wish you the very best of luck with the sale.

What i was trying to say was if the boost is set low on the actuator say .7 of a bar then the ebc is used to trim the boost then it shouldnt boost to a bar, youve got a great ebc and the actuator so boost should be well contained.

anyway good luck with your sale.

Fair play Rob, yeah could be an aftermarket ecu. Car looks immaculate. If i lived closer would probably lap it up, back down in Somerset these days.

Liam - exactly what I was thinking.

If the boost does spike, that can be contained by having the actuator turned down, thats why it's adjustable. Then just fine tune with ebc.
