i need some l.s.d gearbox oil, and thought i could get some through where i work but it seems it is not compatible with starlet gearboxes.

anyway, i looked on opie oils and i know there the cheapest, but it still works out to £42 for just 3ltrs of it, which is extorsionate but i dont have that ammount of money,

has any body heard about l.s.d additive that chrysler/mopar sell?

the chrysler/jeep lsd addative is a friction modifier for the jeeps as they use 75/140 grade dif oil(if i remember correctly)i've never tried it in any other vehicle though, personally i'd stick to the proper lsd oil.

I wouldn't scrimp on an area like that personally :(

Its a lot of moolah, but its a one time only expenditure :D

it's ok i already bought the stuff from opie oils now :) i decided not to scimp.

the diff oil is a piss take changing it that often with that ammount cost of oil. gotta be done though :(

How often does it have to be changed then?

So it would depend on the oil and the diff then?

Even if they are made by the same people, they'll be entirely different in function and severity, which will undoubtedly have an effect on the service intervals.
