LSD box conversion

if you are puting an lsd in your existing box you will not need anything else !!

nope, replacing non lsd box with a lsd box...otherwise its pretty obvious i wouldnt need to swap anything

it it an oem lsd gearbox with the lsd outside the box..?? aftermaket lsd's like trd, cusco etc go inside the gearbox and use standard shafts and mounts.. if it an oem lsd that is outside the gearbox you will need a shorter drivers side drive shaft, different back engine mount and lets not forget the metal sandwich plate that goes behind flywhell that mates with gearbox.. this is completely different ard come in 2 parts where as the standard sandwich plate is one piece

is there a difference in box numbers between non lsd and oem lsd ? So can an oem lsd not be replaced by an aftermarket lsd ? it has to go in a non lsd box ? getting very confused now haha :s

trans code is different on the vin plate in engine bay... non lsd model = c56-02a.. oem lsd model = c56-02b

no you cant put an aftermaket lsd in a oem lsd gearbox.. all aftermarket lsd's fit into non lsd gearboxes

Think I have a spare shorter LSD shaft stashed away. £100 lifts it.

The rear mounts are around £100 new from Toyota if you are stuck (bloody hard thing to find on their own!)

Had a look at the sandwich plates and I think you could chop and mod the stock one to emulate the LSD version. I'll post a pic or two soon as I can for you.

cheers for advice jay but worked out its a non oem lsd box with aftermarket LSD so my shafts and mount will be good
