LSD decision time

I am looking in to LSD's too.

My first choice was QUAIFE.

Second choice TRD.

The helical do not take much maintenance and make no noises or clunks from what I have read, this is why I want one.

In regards tot he TRD LSD, they are on RHD.com.....??

rhd only had the trd mechanical one--noise

the trd helical has been discontinued....BUT a few shops still have them lying around....:p....u just got to do some checking around

dunno where he got it from, i wasnt even expecting it, i paid for it to begin with but then got a email saying there discontinued,

we started talking about another type of lsd, but a few days later it arrived lol

i got a gearbox the other day c56 box with a mechanical lsd i was told i fited all this to my 94 quad light. after all done and finished had all gears and drives in a stright line fine its clunks really badley round corners. I just read the post about oil. does this really make much of a difference??

yes mate a huge difference, get some redline gearbox oil with the lsd additive built in and it should all go away :)

the normal 75w90 is too slippery for the lsd i think

What is the best oil redline 75w90 or the 75w90ns with the friction modifier??

any more stories to share??......i know there are many others on here that run LSDs of various types...this info would be good for those looking at getting one in the future........as nothing beats real world experiences

From what i have been told by so many people. Mechanical lsd are not that bad like trd or kazz ones if you use the right oil!! :( woops. Quaife is the way forward people praise them a lot but they come with a nice price tag!!! :( Ive heard good things as well about cusco lsd's not much £. and nothing bad has been said yet??
