a good wind up i am:p if you knew me personally youd know that but can be taken up wrong over text far too easily....
but your reading really deep into comments i say,like in fairness to golden for a 1.3 i believe when he gets his car going proper again,his qm time will read very very similar to what you get on good tires+lsd

jeez we'r gone way off here,all this about a comment saying i believe golden,and i do,he has a 1.3 easily capable of 12s imho

worst thing about talking over the internet unless you know ppl really well then they can read a message in whatever tone they like and most of the time its the wrong one.

@Kelly.... that must be it..... i feel sometimes im a good judge of character.... sometimes i dont doubt i can read into things like also others do with me..........

when dan gets his sorted he will easily get into the 12's.... i know that for sure....
he will be there with me if not beat me if i cant get traction down.... hes car is mental for a 1.3... obviously got a good tune and man knows how to drive his car...... will never doubt that......

and thats why i want a good race with him as i think he will be a challange and thats exactly what i want as every car im put up against(not talking of Q/M up the stip) i beat them by a alot.. even if they are heavy tuned..... i like a good chalange, thats what its about........

yeh dans car is crazy be a shame if it pops after the 12s run tho even tho Dan doesnt seem to mind lol ! nutter!

Terminal speeds give a good indiction of a cars power.

While your spinning your not accelerating very quick... So not approaching the line as quick.

My friend has a tigra turbo. This did a 129mph terminal, it spun 1st second and 3rd gears as well. Only ran a 13 second quarter. If it ran a 12 second i dare say his terminal would be very similar.

Whats your 1/8 mile speed? GoldenVTR whats yours?

listen im not really bothered about all this anyway... its a bit of friendly banter, just said i'd like to have a race with his car... thats all.... there isnt really a need to carry this on in who gets the best time here, and who gets the best time there.... we'll prove it in reality..... thats way it cant be wrong...........

You don't sound it mate.

But... Terminal speed is a very good indiction of a cars performance, drag strip times aren't always IMO. As like you say, tyres LSD driver etc are more important. But the terminals don't differ that much.

i forgot to mention after i said i think your getting me wrong.....

the reason why a terminal speed on the Q/M isnt a good indication is im spinning alot more then Goldens cars through the 1st 2 gears...... giving him more speed lower down then me..... (well thats what it seems anyway) ....
therfore helping his terminal speed...... best indication would be rolling say from 70mph where we both would have descent grip and that will show mid range pull/torque differences etc............ weather hes got more or not......... i'd like to see, as im interested...

Your right, it would accelerate quicker at the start due to more grip. However this means after say, 4 seconds, he will have covered more ground than you and be closer to the line, you will have longer to get to the line and be at a slower speed, so its swings and roundabouts really. I doubt you'd still be spinning half way up the strip, so the difference in your 8th speeds and full 1/4 speeds should give a very good indication.

mate im not at all bothered weather you doubt im spinning half way up the strip..... its a fact i am.... my tires spin till about 75mph in the dry... that isnt a lie.....

I'd bet a fair chunk of money that your doing more than 75mph at the half way point. :homer:

Mr specific.......

ok let me re-phrase the relevant aspect of this conversation is a spin the tires alot more then goldens..... you can see by the video of mine and his my car holds back more then his too begin with.......

but i never said just to the line mate... im on about from 70mph rolling start to top speed................ not just up to the Q/M...........

You have the same car, same areo's so if he pulls from 80 to 110 quicker than you he's going to also be quicker than you top end i'd bet as well. (till he runs out of gears)

but we have completely different engines... i should be running more power then him and also more torque, how do you know after 110MPH there wont be a difference.......? its not all about aerodynamics its also about how much power you have and when your car delivers it best.......

What do you want me to say... ok because of Q/M times there isnt any point of racing rolling start........ that idea has gone completely out of the window because of your theory....

I want to race him..... is that ok for me to say? can i have that opinion and that view....?
