thats what it is like so far, i think the end hole with my gauge in is a bit skewiff looking at this photo, but it looks fine when in the car, ill have a look at it tomorrow and see.

i know there is glue etc everywhere, but its all been flocked at the end of the month anyway, so i wasnt too careful with it as it will be sanded down etc.

and the gap at the bottom will be used for my ECU when i get it, but will fill it in with some polycarbonate for the meantime, but thats next weekends job

Does anybody know what is involed in moving the heater controls to the glove box? Do you have to mess about with the cables etc? Is it a big task?

To the glovebox you would need to fanny around with cables etc, that's part of the reason I didn't do it.

And the headunit won't be going anywhere, I don't run one, which is why I didn't mind moving the controls!

what cables you have to move? its all electrical... if the wires are not long enough you just need to solder longer wires.. i know there are many wires but would be done easyly and if you use heatshrink tube it will look neat :)

completely agree, it is such a simple task to extend a wire, and always use heat shrink, when people use tape it looks chuffin aweful, you could extend the wires to the point of putting them on the roof if u wanted lol

the warm to cold air control is cable controlled unless you have the electronic switch control heater panel.

infact.. im sure there was someone that moved there control unit into the glovebox! so i really think its not cable controled.. and i took off mine and there was no cable (if i remember correctly)

aye i have a 99 glanza and the heater controls are fully electrical. i moved my heater controls to the glovebox and made a custom panel to hold the heater controls as im fitting three gauges in the space left by moving the heater controls.
