sounds good, i love the car and dont get me wrong they are quick stock but i sometimes urge for a bit more poke!

i may look into this but i plan on running a kit car along side my every day "poser" car next year :p

so ill see how things go, but i have been tempted by supercharging it already, seen a couple of kits selling pretty cheaply!

thanks for the comments chaps. :)

yeah i know what your saying theres enough shitters out there.. looked at 4 before i found this one.

i personally wouldnt even think about force inducting a n/a type r lump as they are high compression for starters and even with a thicker headgasket its risky, lots of tuners will do it but they all say its a ticking time bomb.. the stock piston tops look like a house roof like this ^. no good for boost..

Sure is a hell of a lot easier to look at than any of the Integra's I've seen in my area, I even like it. :haha:

You've got a very clean car.

Most Honda tuners round here stick to the EGs.

Alot of people do boost the stock type R motors. One of the admins on the forum has had his running 333WHP @10PSI on a GT30 turbo on stock set up. He wasnt running a type R motor but still a B16a. Does has lower comp then the type R's especially the B18CR but still. Thats a large turbo....

We'll have to see. I know what your saying though. 10PSI might be too much.

yeah i see a few peeps with forced on the type r lumps, its the reliability and life of the engine that would concern me.. would always be at the back of my mind when giving it full bore lol, the thing is low comp pistons and rod packages are so cheap from the u.s that theres not many excuse's not to low comp it..

I know what your saying man, Thats why i may go for 5PSI and run around 250hp then later down the line forge up and go for low comp piston and change belt to 11PSI.

If only i had confidence and mechanical experience to actually rebuild a whole engine like you do. I would do the same first time round.

hey Rich,

Coming from alot of people that have owned both say theyve found the EK9 to be every so slightly better although im sure the difference will only be apparent to the real track driver. For me and you they are all very similar.

The S2000 seems to be slightly better on the longer sweeping bends whilst the EK will have it on the shorter bends. They are all very much on par. In stock form the S2000 has the EK9 on the straights though. DC2 and S2000 will be close on the straights.

I beat one the other day comfortably, i thought they were a bit quicker then i imagined to be honest with you.
