NA Intake Mani.

Just cruising that thread with the gt for sale in the chill out section, the starlet for sale with the NA intake mani...

Has anyone fiddled with these mani's, and is there any gain to be had from running one rather than the standard one?

What are they off, a corolla or summat?

they are off a corrola, and i think the glanza s.

they are an equal length runner manifold. im not sure if there are any gains to be had.

but its not a popular mod, so i'm guessing that there isn't much to gain

they say it releasses some torgue, hence the egual lenght runners. But i owend one with my old 4E-FE engine and i must say the whole inlet mani is just point welded soo i really doubt it wil last long with the turbo pressure......

Ahh okies, so in order to get some kind of peace of mind if one was to fit it, you would need to have it seam welded and then smoothed out (the welds that is).

More torque is not a bad thing! :)

What are the other alternatives? (are there any other alternatives)

wel it could be seam welded, but u would have too sandbalst it first as the manifold is galvanised from standard.... but as morpeheus said maybe if they use them in Jamaica without a problem if probably isnt going too be a problem here :)

i got mines from Jamaica but never put it in, might just end up selling it

Does the Corolla manifold not use a smaller diameter throttle body than the 4efte?

If it does, it may give you more low down torque, but it will kill your top end power.

It would be more like it to fit a 4efte inlet mani to a 4efe, to allow more air in.

the runners will be longer than the 4efte standard manifold, so you will gain midrange, but lose a bit at the top

the 4efe throttle body is a little smaller, but is able to be swapped directly with the 4efte throttle body, so you can keep what you have got.

it should also be a bit more responsive as there is no plenum as such to fill with boost
