Hmm, I don't know mate, if its not wobbling now it seems a bit odd!

ye i know :( not sure what i should do now, obviously i could run it for ages then it could go one day and shoot a blade through my intercooler and could mess up my engine, or it could be fine and they got it wrong....he did say though he knows his turbos inside out and mine looked dodgy! cant see it myself im not expert, i will probably get a second opinion from another professional

if i remember correctly, there is a massive circlip which holds the compressor housing snuggly onto the turbo centre section

yer ther is its like a brassy colour and you have to take it off in order to rotate the turbo in the 1st place so he should know which bit it is - i'd check that that is tight 1st.

as above.. most compressor housings are held in witha big circlip.. an o ring wouldnt cause the wobble if the circlip is secure.. this circlip is where the problem is.. theres a grove on the compressure housing where it should sit into... if there even dirt there there the curclip wont sit properly and therefore not securing the housing to the rest of the turbo... once off id check the blades also

the picture below is a ct9b turbo i took apart and you can see the big circlip at the top left..

tbh for the prices of the td04's these days ud be nearly better off.. the blabes could be cut up if the housing was off.. no harm checking it anyway once off tho for you own benefit

i can get one pretty cheap but i dont want this to happen again after its been rotated, thats all im worried about....i was thinking the blades could be damaged as the turbo could have been out of balance etc

its simple to rotate a compresssor housing mate.. there a little nipple that stops this from happening.. once the housing is off on the new turbo just put the old housing on cause it will save having to relocate the actuator bracket or are you on an external wastegate setup?

it can be tricky getting off the circlip and in turn getting it back on.. just make sure the circlip has settled into the grove and your flying.. best of luck
