thanks guys and girls for the information. i went to have a look at that glanza v black in colour 98 model s reg. the tappets were quite loud for some reason. i didn't bother with it then. i was abit disappointed with the car because the guy was my mate and he said theres was nothing wrong with the car. just have to wait for the wright car now

u sure it wasnt the injectors mate they are very loud sumtimes and cud b mistaken for tappets!! just a shame sounds like a gud car!!:)

it sounded like my golf gttdi and thats a diesel. to be truthfull i really wanted it but the sound put me of it

oh well if it sounds like a diesel!!:haha: well if ur really interested mabe take it to a machanic, cause i nearly ad a hearth failure when i heard ticking coming from the engine and took it to west coast performance and he said its just the injector not to worry and the lads ere said the same!!:)

i will ask my mate to give me the keys tomorrow and i'll take it a machanic. i pray it is the injector. thanks TURBO2010

guys you know what i've never had a petrol turbo car and i don't no how the glanza v works. i don't want to splash out on a new engine. thats why i'm taking extra care. thanks for the welcome billybob

take a video of the engine running and give it a few revs. then post the video up here and we will let you know it theres any funny noises coming from it.. :)

guys i'm nt good with computers. i don't know how to put a video on here otherwise i would have. today gonna take it to a machanic to see whats wrong with it. i'm from washwood heath GTnomez. by the way guys forgot to mension the cars got no service papers. just log book. gonna talk to him about the price too. guys how much should i offer him. thanks for all your help guys and girls. i've been looking on pistonheads and i've seen this http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/1488425.htm what do you guys and girls reckon of it. gonna phone him up in the evening.

being carefull is the best way i think its a lot of money if you get it wrong but then again cars can be fixed and once you buy one of these you'll want to put your mark on and change things and tweek every week it comes in a package

That Pistonheads link you provided, the car is based in Ireland - a little far from the Midlands unless you don't mind a journey:)
