i think its just that bent end bit that puts me off the can is fine but a slash cut would definetly look better!

Nice work Dave, but you will hamper performance.
I tried this not long ago, The boost became very lazy due to the back preasure.
But then again, every car is diffirent so you wont know until you try it.
I do like it, as your thinking outside the box, everyone goes slash/burnt tip etc etc

Seen it on a starlet before (pic attached) but not a front exit.. Thinking differently leads to split opinions so expect plenty of both. This thread needs a poll added!

But I'm thinking the same as the others; even if it has no baffles in it, a straight pipe with an empty can on the end will create back pressure and with it being so close to the turbo isn't that gonna be bad? Maybe a straight pipe ,same diameter all the way along but with the floppy downwards pointing bit at the end would be better, and still look original!

Seems fine Rory, full boost by 5k so about right right for that turbo, we will know more when its tuned and if restrictive will be changed

I have a 3 and 1/2 inch rolled lip on my Charade, looks great

Should be okay with a large turbo, personally I prefer a straight cut but is different..
