Newbie in need of advice

Firstly hey all.

im sam 20 from hertfordshire.

im looking to buy myslef my first starlet.

looking at the 1994 ish starlet Gt Turbos.

however.... i dont know what to look out for when buying one.

ive had a good look on the market and there is a fair few about, some have had extensive mechanical repairs, some with a few but major ones and some with none at all. also the millage varies alot as well as the price.

so what i propse to all of you brainiacs out there is what do i look for? pros and cons.
max and minimum millage,
repairs carried out, radiators, cam belt etc
specific mods to be wary of?,
and prices.

and anything else you can think of.

if your good mechanically i would personally get one with a mint bodyshell and interior and a knackered engine. sort the engine out for £500 and you have a minter

yeah i do car body and paint at college. im also restoring a 1972 mini clubman 1275gt so money is an issue atm.

parts can be expensive and take a while to get hold of
otherwise perfect!!!!!
