even straight line the mx5 has more potential. you can also get more power out of it if need be and parts are more plentiful and generally cheaper.

Mk1 and Mk2 have different manifolds, loads of them around for the mk1, Greddy/HKS/Flyinmiata etc, mk2 is a lot harder to get hold of. I appreciate its only £xxxx to get it done, but its money that is wasted as it will lose loads of value and won't really increase the car value. Don't get me wrong, if I had the money spare and the attitude that I'm not fussed then I'd do it.

I've already spent some on it, got an AutoExe exhaust, full leather from a ltd edition mk2.5, Gaz Coilover adjustable suspension, hard top and a set of 14x6 watanabes for it.

I can see what everyones saying about the handling though, just not sure I'm that bothered! Anyone near Daventry/Northampton got a Glanza that I can be a passenger in whislt you give it the berries for a few mins?

You haven't even fitted the watanbes so they don't count :p
We all know you are gonna change your mind tomorrow and buy R5GTT....

Would you not need to forge the engine if you were gonna turbo it?

Welcome along :)

No. I'll be going for 1bar with a K26 on a standard engine.

Alex if handling doesn't bother you then a standard GT will be fine!
