No boost after timing belt change

Had my timing belt changed on Monday but since I got the car back it's basically an N/A. When I have it turned to high boost it will read 0.1 bar right up to 6000rpm, if it's at low boost it reads the same. Also the sound from the the recirculatory valve has changed, to a flutter instead of the usual shhHHHH. (Trying to be descriptive lol)

Everything looks like it's still plumbed up correctly for the turbo, is it likely to be the timing has been set slightly off? Any ideas welcome, along with your attempt to make a BOV sound :haha:

There is a boost controller but as far as I'm aware it's wired in reading psi but the solenoid isn't wired in so it can't be adjusted. Everything is stock bar an exhaust.

I wouldn't know where to start with checking timings or anything, that's why i left it with someone else lol

Still revs out fully and pulls as well as you would expect with just a tiny bit of boost

Could be the timing but are you sure everything has been put back as it was? Easy to forget a simple thing when putting stuff back.

Is it the stock boost controller its running or an aftermarket?

It would be the standard high/low button I would be using, the one that is giving the reading is an aftermarket one.

You know exactly what he reckons....what was off is back on, what was changed was checked properly, should be fine.
I would have brought it up to you Jay and bullied my way into your busy schedule but the alternator belt snapped and I took a paranoia attack about the timing belt lol

I'll check again tonight to make sure nothing seems out of place or left hanging.

lolol...quite funny jay

yeah get the stuff looked over blaine
check all the intercooler connections/hoses are properly secured
check for holes in the hoses
check the actuator on the turbo

sounds like you have a massive leak somewhere

If the cam sprocket is out one tooth then ignition timing and cam timing will be off bud :)

sorry i thought you were referring to the timing of the cams to each other.

normally if the timing is out it wouldnt only affect the boost. you would generally have trouble revving to the red line or you would get other issues with how the car drives/runs.

A massive thank you to Gryzor for helping me out today with this. Turns out the mechanic had mixed up two lines from the valve and actuator.
At least i'll be running right for the RR day!

Another car there. Sounds like it's going to be a good day.
