its always good to see norris cant handle their evo. It was the driving too focused on trying to catch the white's and uncapable of controlling his own car, that poor pug driver didnt do anything wrong like said above their are rules to every track and when and how you can overtake and their not always the same either on which side your allowed to be on.

This is Simon Norris' reply to the incident:

Thanks for all the kind comments from everyone, feeling Ok if a little sore today!

Everyone has their own opinions on a situation based on experience and vision of the incident, whether it be from inside the car or on video afterwards.

Some facts for you though;

1) I think the accident was my fault, but at the time could not be avoided.

2) The first thing I did was ask the other girl how she was, apologised and shook her hand in the medics room.

3) I was not driving beyond my talent or ability. This was a bad racing incident for which I feel responsible.

4) Gary stopped me from overtaking him at the Esses one lap earlier when we touched side by side, I had the inside line and he had to take the grass. At this time I had gained a position by
virtue of me being in front into the corner on the inside. On the following lap I tried to out brake him on the outside instead and locked up meant me having to take to the grass. I ended up in front and did not know that I should yield this gained place, I held my hand up to appologise but did not know what was the correct etiquette. I have spoken with Gary about this and appologised.

5) I already stated to one of Chirssy's friends that if Castle Combe declare the accident my fault I would pay her £1000 towards her repair bill.

6) Something needs to be done about the differing speeds in this championship, no one has more of a right to be in it than another but the speed differential is dangerous.

Finally I will be back with another car next year and intend to silence all the people who say I can't drive and do my talking on the race track.

Cheers all and sorry to Chrissy!

Youv'e got to admire him for being man enough to admit that it was his fault. It'a a bloody silly race series anyway that puts cars out together with so big a performance gap.Thats like putting 125cc bikes out along with superbikes.

If the Evo driver had not been so caught up is staying with the other evo's and lifted off a bit it would never have happened.Easy to say I know but when your racing the red mist usually comes down.

i disagree. none of us where in the car so none of us can say what truely happened. im a great norris fan and back him all the way. everyone makes mistakes....

I completely agree with what Trev has posted above though :)

the pug wasnt doing anything wrong although was on the wrong side of the track lol. however, i dont think the pug should have been allowed on at the same time as evo's as quick as that.

also, the Pug driver was a girl judging by those pics!

what are you on!! the pug done nothing wrong at all, you can quite easily see the pug moved out of the way, and stayed on the outside of the corner, to let the evos have the faster line.

the guy in the evo could have avoided that accident if he had looked where the pug was. i dont know how he didnt see it there, all the guy in the evo had to do was stay right a tiny bit, he wouldnt have lost much time at all and he would still have his car.

i agree i know your all norris bumlicks haha but youve got to admit it was more his fault than the peugeots.. ok maybe the pug shudnt of been on the track with them cars but it was and he didnt really do anything wrong apart from be at the wrong place at the wrong time, if the evo would of backed off a bit instead of going flat out he would of avoided him, but was trying to hard to keep with the other 2 evos and ended up in a pug sandwich

dur read my fucking posts moron!! where have i said that its not Simons fault?? i havent. it completely was simons fault. however, i just dont think he deserves the punishment you so called 'experts' are giving hin. read the post on MLR by the girl who was driving the pug. she doesnt hold it against Simon so neither should anyone else.

you are supposed to pull over to the left when letting a car past. she was right on the right hand side of the track possibly making it more difficult for the evos to take the racing line.

anyway i dont give a fuck what you lot think, simon is a good driver, mechanic etc and has paid the price for his mistakes. thats the risk of motorsport.

chill girl i was just saying my peice as i think you are wrong, no need to get nasty and start swearing.

the pug was on the right side of the track so she could go on the outside of the corner, so the evos could get the better line through the corner, which in my opinion was the right thing to do.

i'm not trying to start an argument i'm just expressing my opinion.

rules of every track day ever.... it is not a race.... no overtaking on corners and are/ should be very strict on it.

i understand this was a sprint event and rules may differ but before anyone knew this people were arguing it wasnt norris' fault when it clearly would be
