bwoy i dont really see whats so spectacular about the tuning we do down here. most of what we tune is just fuel maps. we like to keep them in the low 11's.
probably the problem lies in the engine builder and not the tuner..........
probably its best i not tell you guys what is being down with stock parts as you all might blow the engine to bits. my engine builder has his own specs when it comes to building his engine and his costomers engines. and he doesnt give up that information so as to preserve his edge over competitors.
best you guys just buy the fancy aftermarket stuff. even i am sometimes shocked with the shit we get away with down here. lol. these parts were meant for 100 hp to the wheels and here we are making three times that amount and still havent changed them. toyota is king
used to have water system pressurisation probs on a stock headgasket, changed to a cruise one and had no problem, fitted a replacement engine with stock headgasket and water pressurisation has re-appeared.
forged engine will have an athena one fitted.
u ever thought that your problem lays beyond the headgasket and putting on the cruise just masked the problem?
sort of like your car is detonatiing so u put on forged pistons to make the problem stop

whole reason for uprated gasket is it can be bought in different thicknesses and is more resistant to detonation, ive seen a std gasket get blown into the waterways by detonation. i know you guys like to use toyota stuff(like 2 std gaskets together to lower compression) but one tuning mistake and its all over.
if std toyota stuff is good enough i will use it, sometimes it isnt.
completely different engine, and setup.
it may well be my temp engine has a warped block. building my forged one again soon

i only use one lol.
engine wont detonate if you just leave the timing alone. lol
ok but if running stock timing wount the car feel very laggy running a bigger turbo setup
i use a twin scroll td05 hr 16g
i have long runner intake manfold and a short runner exhaust manfold. full boost by about 4500.
i am quite happy with that :drive:

plus if you really want to add more timing just add timing off boost and then pull it when the boost comes in. adding timing when off boost not gonna detonate the engine unless u using piss for gas
so 304whp on stock timing thats inpressive:rockon:
yah stock timing. dont like to trouble it. scared of it as a matter of fact. lol
at what boost is that set up ?
so what sort of boost and afr you running
well i have 3 boost settings
8 psi.........19 psi and 25 psi.
at 4500 rpm with the 25psi setting i am making 180 whp and 200 ft tq
by 6000 rpm i am making almost 300 atw and 260 ft tq
very low 11's almost 10's
but this idle chatter should be done in the 300whp jamaican sttyle thread :haha:
this is head gasket talk
