Well its been an emotional few weeks with my car so i thought i would moan to you lot lol.

Firstly i had the dreaded bit of casting by the exhaust mani crack off (been like it since i had the car) put up with it all summer and got embarrassed by the ticking so thought i would fix it

Found a place who would weld it great, time to take off head. First hitch, between me mate of mine who was helping me (mechanic of 10years) we had no M9 spline tool for the head bolts so i had to order one, extra 2 days.

Head came off then tidy darts, off it went to be welded. Had my pile of new parts from toyota ready to rebuild the car, BUT looked at the HG that came off and found it was a 1.6mm thick steel one, great (means car has been built with some thought), bad has to be replaced with a similar item (one week and £200 later i had a nice Kamaeri one sat on my bed).

Picked up the head from said welding person, who advised me i would need to clean the head off before fitting, fine no probs.

Dday came to refit it :) only to find dumb ass hadnt masked anything off and the head was full of blasting grit and dirt, so we had to strip the head down clean every part off then reassemble, AND there was weld all over the gasket face so it had to go into an engineering company to have the gasket face machined off :slap: (NOT happy by now as you can all imagine lol).

So while its all apart time to change the valve seals (no better time really), so we put the car back together now it wont run right think my CTS has packed in. So its not been a good few weeks with this bleedin thing lol :shoot:

BUT the point of my post, is the more i look at the car, the more it looks like Thunderbird 4, (or is it just me? lol)

so does that mean you have forged internals?

also shame you seem to be having issues, all part of modifying i'm afraid though :(

have yo checked all the wiring? theres no broken wires or anything? just asking cos it's unusual for something to just suddenlt stop working if it was running fine before you took it apart, sounds like it's something you done?

Well ive checked all the sensors all seem to be working (seem) i am getting fault code 22, CTS so ordered one of those.

But can hear hissing from around the BMC, changed the vacuum line on it still noisy though, and im 99% sure there shouldnt be a hissing noise from around there :S
