How gutted can one person be!!

The Caldina has been smashed to bits by a hit and run tonight while parked near my house and sure to be a write off!!

Thats one less of a rare breed in the uk,sob,sob

Hope you can have it fixed. I wonder what hit it, must have been a bohemoth to cause that damage to you but still drive away!

So now the question, who on earth would be prepared to do these repairs or even give a quote for the insurance?

On the near side(not in pic) the front wheel has colapsed so its not pretty.

On the plus side the perpetrators turned up this morning claiming they swerved to avoid a cat and then panicked,Local talk for I was pissed I think!

It was a bloody focus that did it and it didnt get far afterwards but at least I have their insurance details now

Shows that there are good people around still. To come round and own up is great news for you. At least its their insurance not yours now.

Least that's a result on the insurance front mate.

As for repairs you need to get it to a bodyshop for an estimate. All the parts should be available from Toyota just make sure they order them according to your chassis number. That should ensure you get the right wing, etc to suit her.

Good luck with it, if anyone gives you hassle remind them that you are the victim in this.

oh well at least they turned up, they were blatently gattered, thats why they came back this morning...oh well....

Bad news about the damage, at least they called round to give you their insurance details etc. Less stress, like Jay said just need to get it checked over and then get the parts ordered. Hopefully it can be repaired. Good luck dude.

since it uses an avensis front it will be a reasonabnly easry repair as panels are easy to get.

looks like the main impact was on the front quarter so suspension damage may be minimal, although on the passenger side may be a few bent component but should be o.k.

Insurance will probbly write that off as CAT C though.

Yeah gutted, especially if its written off.

Anyway wondered if you could help me as a fellow owner.Just preparing myself in advance, if it is a total loss I may have trouble proving its true value if they offer a low pay out. Any ideas how I can do this,although I know for sure that there isnt another single one for sale in the UK at the moment?

Also what are you looking for a cash sale for yours if it does go that far?(may as well ask)
