Another thing, you would be shocked just how well a 350Z handles.. Still heavy but mine weighs in around 1390KG(Good estimate) as ive stripped around 50-60KG, stock PRE 05 track model weighs 1450kg, but the chassis is excellent with so much grip.. High speed bends really holds the road, feels like it creates some sort of downforce. It really is surprising.. The wet its pointless as it never grips. rarely in 3rd gear on a straight, mine isnt stock though so.....

Its a good car, I didnt expect it to be honest with you. With a few choice mods and 6 speed manual(no Auto) it is alot of fun.

you would be suprised how well things have advanced with them.
and im almost sure nissan had involvement in the developments in it.
nissan share alot of renault stuff atm,the 1.5 dci is a great little engine, rarely seen them give any trouble either.

just never liked renaults jonny.. the father had 4 and they all broke his heart.. the brother had a 04 megane 1.4.. slammed on the brakes one day to avoid a crash.. flashers came on (as they do in a slam on situation) car cut out.. he got out, was ringing a toe truck, looked around and the car was on fire.. he ran back and the stupid thing locked itself.. mostly burnt to the ground...the car was a year old.. the dci like any diesel engine are bullet proof and is shared in some other cars too i think.. i worked in renault in ennis for a few months and they are the greatest c**t of things to work on.. thats going back a few years tho.. most of them just feel cheap inside..

I really like the DC5's but they are quite expensive and most dc2 owners on forums don't see the benefit of the additional costs.

Apart from they look 100x better, far nice interior, better engine with more power and 6 gears...There FAAAAAR better.

Would i get a 350z or a DC5 though...i dont know, i love them both and there both good in different ways. I would probably ahve to say a dc5 looks better only because there rarer and have a bit of a wow factor, but interior is far better in a 350z and thats where you spend all your time.

You get a proper looking Z and I'd say the wow factor is in a different league to a DC5. Guess its an opinion. Some Z I think look plain as hell but some do look absolutely stunning. Again the 2 cars are not really comparable, too different.

Thanks for the replies guys.

Phoned a couple of guys about dc2s, seems to be difficult to find a decent one without rust or very high miles.

Been looking at a particular DC5 in england that I really like, and a few z's that seem to be well sorted.

Insurance is higher on the DC5/DC2 than the Z but I would assume running costs are much higher on the Z.

Just thought I would let everyone know I went for a black 2004 integra DC5, travelled down to stranraer for it last Friday. :)

So far really enjoying it, the comfort and handling are definately a step up. It's taking a while to get used to the vtec as when your a passanger you don't get the same throwback as a turbo car but the car is still travelling fast if that makes sense? In terms of speed it definately is quicker than my glanza which was with a ct9 on 0.9 bar.

It has a few goodies on it , mugen carbon fibre bonnet and buddyclub exhaust. I'll see if I can upload a few pics later.
