hi guys.

im in between rebuilding my engine at the moment,

and i have come across pistons 74.5mm for the 4efte,

would they be worth using as my bore is scuffed and needs reboring?

you dont get oversized standard pistons as far as i'm aware.

its possible you prob get oversize 4efe pistons because they fitted in both starlets and corrollas, but you cant get oversized 4efte pistons as far as i'm aware

apparently they are, ive consulted the engine builder and there from a company in america, he said there definately for the 4efte engine code and are oversized by .5mm

i also wasnt sure but he seems very certain...

no not that im aware he told me there standard but are oversized, i dont know if there custom made or something, but he seems pretty sure as i sort of said "i dont think thats right" and he seems very sure.

i might just stick forge pistons in neway as these ones are only 120 quid cheaper, just thought it could be a possibility for others as some people dont want to rebuild with forged items, and these pistons could offer a good alternative to forging when boring out

i will try look into it more

You use 5E low comp pistons and if you want to you can shave the pistons so that the compression height sits at 29.8mm
