these 4agte are they using stock 4agze internals?

they are forged as stock i think, or at least very very strong.

Yes they are running stock 4agze internals, and stock headbolts.
They tryed ARP headbolts, but blew their headgasket 2 times, so changed back to standard.
638hp at 2,4 bar, running megasquirt ECU and China turbo(T70) lol.
They changed to ARP in bottom, because red line is 9400rpm.

In my 4AGTE I am using GZE rods with ARP rod bolts and ARP head bolts no head gasket problem. On another 4AGTE with GZE rods and ARP rod bolts plus ARP cylinder head bolts, ran at 27PSI on VP C16 race gas with no head gasket problem. I would love to see this 638HP monster.

i dont see how arp bolts could cause head gasket blowouts anyways??? they are better and dont stretch

all the standard toyota bolts are stretch bolts so they would b worse than arp's

although im still using standard head bolts and running 250hp atw on my 4e and no issue yet and i have run 28psi but dunno what power it made.... lets just say it was fu(king scary

im using 264 on 5e..with a big td05h (it has the bigger a/r turbine housing which i forgot is) i get 15psi at around 3800-3900rpm and doesnt stop pushing at 7800...thats baby boost...some headwork but alot of advance on c16

my standard cams with a gt2860rs on a 4e on 20psi pulls all the way round to my 8k rev limit and is still making power.... i thought it was a bit odd for standard cams with headwork but it obviously works... im still going bigger though... just going speedvision billets though :)

yea it could be a mit when people say you need them to make it work better,make the power up high or watever..some just dont chance it an go for the bigger cams just to be sure..people abroad seem to take these chances and it all works,with half the cost we would of spent:rolleyes:makes ya wonder..would you not just get ivan cams mate?seen as you live in the same country?

Well ofcourse 4e will ofcourse take more rpm than 5e, becourse 5e have longer stroke...

Well they had problem at 2,4 bar.
After changing to stock bolts, everything is ok again...

i will never buy tighe cams ever ever ever again...... useless pricks if u ask me ;)

had a set of cams made up for a celica about 4 years ago and it took then 8 months to get them to me.... by which time i got the shits waiting and get a set made elsewhere.....

as for the half the cost..... what is the cost of a decent rebuild over there?

my motor alone has cost me close to 5k in parts and 5k in labour (labour just on the bottom end) and a mate did the port work on mine for bugger all and spent about 20 - 30 hours porting, polishing and cc' ing the chambers and mirror polishing the chambers and exhaust side

it was the customer service.... as i said had a set made elsewhere cause it took them 8 months to get to me..... and even then the spec sheet was wrong so i was plain pissed off

nah mate i tried to send them back but they are arseholes and wouldnt give me my money back so i sold them on to another guy who was about to go through the hell i went through

he was happy cause i sold them at a loss

yeah same as burwash, but obviously if you really wanted something else then they could get it from ivan for you, but yes the ones they stock are just a certain spec.

there are a few other camshaft makers in aus i am thinking of trying one of them b4 i buy a set of premade ones :) hope it dont take 8 months again though

cant ya read i said it.. that size of a turbo wont be making power before 5 k(without nos anyway) so he need some good top end,with a high rev limit to make up for the lag
