You manage to change your password on your ps3 dan? As mine decided to send me an email and I still havent recieved it, such a tease!! Lol

AHHH THATS SHIT haha, fuck knows why mine had to email me!? I thought ide be able to just change it on the ps3!

I updated to 6.31 earlier and thought, yes might be able to get on, updated and still couldn't get on :shoot:

At long last it's back up :beer:

the system updated at midnight last nite to 6.31 but it wouldnt let us online till tonite coz they were sorting american network out first

did you set up your psn on your ps3 when you first registered for psn account? it said you could only change it on the device you registered your psn account on

if using a PS3, your password can only be changed on your own PS3 (or a PS3 on which your PSN account was activated), as an added layer of security. If you have never downloaded any content using your account on the system, an email will be sent to the registered sign-in ID (email address) associated with your account when you first attempt to sign-in to PSN. This e-mail will contain a link that will enable you to change your password. In this email, click on the link and follow the instructions to change your password. Once you have changed your password you can sign-in to your account using your new password.
We strongly recommend that all PSN account holders with PS3s update their systems to prepare for when PlayStation Network is back online. The release of this update is a critical step as we work to make PlayStation Network significantly more secure. Thank you for your continued support and patience.

see thats fooked, Ive only ever had this one ps3, its where I setup my account, and I have downloaded content on to it, still they sent me an email, and still I havent recieved it. bugger. better come before tonight

took all night to download the update, then finally ready to play and it asked me to chenge password as i have never bought anything online using the ps3, its been like 24 hours since i requested password change email, iv read online that sony have requested people be patient for the email, but its been off for nearly a month, im so close to some headshot black ops action, come onnnnnn send the email, iv arranged the misses to make tea and let me game when its back.haha

I've been waiting 40+ hours now for this password reset email from Sony and still nothing. Anyone else still waiting on this?

Right, bear with me as I'm having a little hassle getting my head round it..

Bought PS3, registered online with an old (now defunct) email address, forgot password but it was set to log in automatically, got current email address, PSN went down.

This leaves me in a predicament. I can't remember my password and they'll send everything to my old email address.

How the sweet Jesabelle's gauntlet do I get this box back online?
