Power FC boost control unit & 3bar map sensor install

Just got off the phone with my tuner. He said knock level peaked to around 30ish and i shouldnt be worried ?. He has taken as much timing out of the map as he can, reducing more timing is not reducing the knock reading. Im slight confused. Going to pick my car up today hopefully so will see what happens.

30 is not much to worry about, but taking out timing and it not reducing is strange. I removed and retorqued my sensor last time the engine was out and there was a difference in the knock levels recorded on the same map, might be worth while checking that end of things is ok as it seems to affect readings, thats why the factory sensor is not a great guide to checking for it.

you get different knock amounts on different runs anyway. i tend to get higher knock the first time i really thrash the car when i bring her out compared to subsequent thrashes afterwards

Picked my car up earlier today, on the drive home i was only boosting 0.7 bar and the max knock reading was 42. I dont get it my engine seems to be fine. My tuner said it could be picking up background noise rather than engine det. or maybe its worth changing the knock sensor ?

42 is still not much to worry about, engines do create noise through the block just from the powerstroke, which could be interperated as knock by the sensor, so if your tuner says its not knocking then it will be fine imo.
