Power Steering Delete

I'm sure this has been covered plenty, but is it me or is the search feature not working?

Basically I want to remove the power steering.

I don't want to loop the system, I find that a bit rough.

I've heard the idea that you just replace the rack, but others seem to think you need to replace the column as well.

I'm not fussed, so long as I know.

Does anyone have a definitive answer to this?

What is necessary for a power steering delete?

Cheers

I had an ep80 track car that had the rack required for this, certainly offered a bit more feel on track.

The column is slightly shorter where it connects to the rack from faded memory hence the need for fitting both together. Downside is that the column doesn't have any height adjustment on it but I'd guess the mechanism could be retro fitted with enough effort.

Having driven a gt on track in comparison I actually found the powersteering more preferable but that's probably just me!

Cheers Jay.

I know what you are saying but I really don't drive the car as it is.

I want to remove the items out of the engine bay and go for that minimalistic look.

People say it's unnecessary on such a light car.

Steering column and rack then. I will keep my eye out.

I really wonder how much I actually use the hieght adjustable feature.

Usually I keep it in one location.
