Questions about forged parts

Pauter rods and 75mm Ross pistons here.
No problems at all, no notching.

Slight piston slap in the morning, but fine at normal operating temp.
Just dont let the car idle for to long when its really cold (engine temp wise)

Hey Rory

any issue with running 1mm oversized pistons? what boost are you running? as that would worry me about cracking blocks at high boost.

And sounds good about the piston slap as you will always get some.

Kinda same subject. Whats the differance between 74 and 74.5 like is there any performance gains. And how much to get a block bored

Ross 74.5 pistons and Scat rods, from speedvision. as mentioned you need to notch the block to clear the rods but it's no biggie.

the car does sound a bit 'diesely' when cold but soon smoothens out.

only 250 miles done so far but all is well :)

No issues as yet with 1mm oversize pistons.
Ive done around 8000 miles on the engine @ 1.2 bar. No problem with coolant getting spat out.

Its best not to let the car idle for to long, aas the piston slap can cause damage, its best to put a load on the piston, as it helps keep the piston away from the bore, ie the rings can do there job better (apart from sealing)

Im runing a 1.8mm Cruise headgasket, with no problems.
Gave me a bit of lag, but nothing a bit of boost wont help.
